into the abyss

Watched this documentary few weeks ago. Pretty intense, makes you speechless for a good couple of hours. Some people even left the theater in 20 min. Worth to watch. As a person who like to write, I tended to focus on the questions the interviewer asks than answers. Questions determines the quality of interview, no matter how great the subject is, the question sucks, you don't get none from subjects. This one was very simple, direct, but well thought.. Succeed to pull out many things that you've never read or heard anywhere else.


数週間前に見た。とてもすごいので、見た後はしばらく無言になった。はじまって２０分ぐらいで映画館を出る人も居た。書くことが好きな自分としては、いつもこういう時に答えよりも質問に集中する。インタビュアーがどんな質問をするかで、いくら対象が良くても何も出てこないこともある。質問はインタビューのクオリティーを左右する。このドキュメンタリーは、とてもストレートで、まっすぐで素直な質問をぶつけていたので、見たことも読んだこともないような本質を引き出すことができている。
