週末のこと

今週末はなんだかダラダラしてしまった。金曜日は、ゆきこさんのバイトお別れ会（特にわたし関係無し）になぜか参加し、そのあとずんさまの家でレコードをききまくる。R＆Bを集中して責める。９８年くらいの、レディース名義ボーカル＆ラップのからみがいいよね。フック2回目くらいで入ってくるあの今聴くとなんかいなたいんだけど、そこがすごく気分。前から言ってるけど。そのあと、Just BlazeのDJを見に、近所のTammany Hallへ。ずん様の強いごり押しでいやいや入ったTamanny Hallだけど、若者がたくさん集っていて、皆踊ってるし、お金を落としてるし、おしゃれしてるし、まさにリアルパーティーといったかんじだった。パーティーについてしばし考えさせられる。やっぱり人が入っていて、楽しんでいないとそれはパーティーじゃないのかも。


Super lazy weekend. Friday, I joined Yuki's part-time job farewell party, which I have nothing to do with. Then, stopped by Zun-sama's house to browse his record collection. I checked R&B crate, and it was fun! I like 97-99, women's vocal. After the 2nd hook, rap starts. Kind of cheezy, but that's the best part. After that, we all went Tammany Hall on Orchard street to see Just Blaze. It's not my kind of party at all, but there were a lot of young people dressing up, spending money, dancing. I really felt like that's what the real party should be. The good party has to be packed and making money with people's smiles.

Burning Bed: ★★☆☆☆

Farrah Fawcettの演技を一度は見てみたかったので、いい機会になった。家庭内暴力のストーリー。裁判のところが結構はしょられてて、これがどれだけ当時はすごい裁判だったかというところはなかなか伝わりにくい。そして、「去らない女も悪し」という結論に至ってしまうのだった。印象的だったのは、Franの着てたギンガムチェックのブラウス。あれは夏つくってみたい。


I wanted to see Farrah Fawcett's acting, so it was a good opportunity. Abuse story. It was strange the most of the court part was cut, so it is hard to understand how important this case was back then. Just made me re-recognized "Women don't leave the guy has a big problems as who abuse." I know it's not that simple, but her role was not that strong to make change my idea. The best part was her gingham-checked frill blouse. That was sweet. (She will be beaten in the first time after she wear that blouse though)

５０〜６０年代にかけて活躍したFrankie Lymonについての映画。彼の人生に登場した3人の女の視点でストーリーは展開する。主人公の俳優がどうしても顔が好みじゃないので、なかなか感情移入しにくかった。「スターで居ることって、大変なのね。」と心から思わせる、裏切りや葛藤、傲慢やフラストレーションはよく描かれていた。特に若くてヒットなんて産むと、本当に大変だよなぁと思う。改めて考えると、アメリカのショービズ界なんて狂いまくってるもん。

It's about the singer, Frankie Lymon and three women in his lifetime. The main actor was not my type at all, so it was hard for me to really get into the story. Made me think how hard to be young, being in the show business and keep up with the hits. People expect you a lot and exploit you a lot. When you think about it, American show business is all crazy. C-R-A-Z-Y.

このインテリアはとても素敵だった。ZOLAって人には会ったことないけど、よくある名前なのかな？かわいい。

I liked the Zola's house in Hollywood. I've never met the girl named "Zola", I think it's pretty.
